Star Gazing Party was a Blast!

Well, last night was a blast! We hope that everyone who came out and looked through the telescopes enjoyed themselves. I'd especially like to thank the City of Keller and the Fort Worth Astronomical Society for providing an awesome park and exceptional equipment with which to play! Stay tuned - more events are coming. Here are a few pictures from the event last night -

Setting up the telescopes, waiting for eyes!

There were a few clouds, but overall a good night

We caught some sunspots before our star set below the horizon

Cars whizzing past bear creek... come join us next time!

Star Gazing Party @ Keller Family Campout

A beautiful sunset the day of the star party - fortunately the clouds mostly dissipated

Star Gazing Party, May 19th, Sundown!

In collaboration with the City of Keller, and the Fort Worth Astronomical Society, we are pleased to announce the first Keller Star Party in conjunction with the Keller Family Campout.

Astronomers will be on hand with their telescopes but we’d love for you to bring your own as well: if you haven’t used yours in a while (or don’t know how to use it) this is a wonderful opportunity for you!

The Star Gazing party is a free come-and-go event at Bear Creek Park starting just before sundown this Saturday, May 19th

Come see the night sky from a new perspective!

Mad Science @ Shady Grove Elementary

On January 28th, 2012 Mad Science of Dallas came to Shady Grove Elementary and helped us inspire over 300 students from several campuses in and around the Keller, TX area. As our first "big" event we think this went absolutely wonderfully and can't wait to invite Mad Science back for more of these in the future.

A big thanks to all those who helped plan, organize, and run this event - especially the administration at Shady Grove Elementary School.

Take a look below!
